The petrochemical industry, while having created 107,000 direct jobs, will lead to creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs by formation of hundreds of small and medium enterprises. According to studies, for every one million tons of petrochemical products supplied by downstream sources in the petrochemical industry, there is the potential to create 170,000 jobs. Therefore, if all the downstream petrochemical industries are activated, the creation of 920,000 job opportunities in these industries is conceivable, which shows the huge importance of the petrochemical industry and, of course, its downstream sector.
